Blogpost 8-11 | Week 16 at D-reizen

This was it! My internship has come to an end. I had a super time and learned super much. And really had the nicest colleagues. This week I did quite a bit. I started this week by booking a round trip to Morocco and a cruise to the Norwegian Fjords. I also did a lot of travel arrangements, because a reasonable number of people are going on vacation during the month of November. On Wednesday I did the final review with my colleague. She gave me some good feedback at the end. Yesterday, together with my practice supervisor, I further finished everything and had everything signed. Besides that, I also booked a vacation to Disneyland in Paris for a family. And I helped another client with information about Dubai. Today I also made another booking to Crete in Greece for a family. Then I finished my internship with a nice cake that I treated my colleagues to.

Blogpost 3-11 | Week 15 at D-reizen

This was my second to last week at D-reizen. I started this week by finalizing a booking to Berlin. Later that day I helped book a holiday to Egypt for 2 people. This man and woman also made a group request to us for their family to Side, Turkey. On Tuesday I wrote my last reflection report and together with my colleague I also filled in the evaluation form. Wednesday was a quiet day. I checked people in, did travel documents and I also helped with a group request to Turkey. Thursday was also a quiet day, but at the end I got a phone call that these people wanted to have plane tickets to Malaga in Spain for a business trip. So I helped these people with 2 plane tickets within 15 minutes. Last Friday was a slightly busier and hectic day. I was busy with several things at the same time. I started with a family holiday to Egypt, because the lady couldn't do it online. In addition, I also worked for clients who wanted to make a cultural trip through Egypt. This was my second to last week. This was a quiet, but also a very eventful week!

Blogpost 26-10 | Week 14 at D-reizen

This was a very busy and chaotic week. There were a lot of urgent cases that we needed to do before the end of this week. For example, the case of Munsterman. They are going to Egypt with 13 people. They wanted to change the travelling party. 4 of them weren’t going anymore. And instead of those 4, somebody else was going. So we had to call the hotel in Egypt and change the travelling party. Beside of the urgent cases, I made two bookings this week. The first one was a city trip for two to Porto. I booked a plane ticket, private transfer and a hotel for them. The other booking was a city trip to Berlin, weekend before Christmas for one person. I also had a customer who was looking for a vacation to the Maldives. She would have loved a water bungalow with a pool at a resort. But unfortunately we couldn’t find anything for this customer, because she didn’t want a connected flight and she wanted to fly premium comfort which wasn’t available.

Blogpost 19-10 | Week 13 at D-reizen

Hellooo!! I started of this week with a culmination! I did 2 bookings on my name last Monday. First I booked a city trip to Athens for a mother with her son. And the second one was a sun vacation to Egypt for a mom with her daughter. I made a little (but could be an expensive) mistake with the booking to Egypt. I wrote one customers name wrong, so I had to call the airline to change her name very quick. Otherwise you have to pay change fee or a whole new plane ticket. On Tuesday I helped a customer with a plane ticket to Perth (Australia) and he wanted to fly premium comfort and he needed a car rental. The rest of the week I did a lot of the standard tasks like: Travel papers, phone calls, inform customers and made a couple of quotations for customers. And also this week a lot of last minutes again for the autumn holiday.

Blogpost 11-10 | Week 12 at D-reizen

Hi! This was such a fun week! The week started quietly. On Monday I answered some phone calls and I printed the travel papers for our customers. On Tuesday it was also quiet, but in the evening we had a gourmet with the colleagues from Meppel and Steenwijk. Meppel had won this gourmet, because they did a lot of bookings at Sunair. Last Wednesday I helped customers with finding a last minute vacation to Egypt during the Autumn holiday. I also helped a customer with her Visa for Australia. Yesterday I helped a customer with seat reservations and the payment of her holiday. And my colleague and I also booked a vacation to Gambia for 2 persons. Today I booked a holiday to Gran Canaria for 2 persons, they were also looking for a roundtrip to maybe Indonesia or Thailand so I gave them some information about those two destinations.

Blogpost 4-10 | Week 11 at D-reizen

I started of this week with a other Disneyland Paris booking. This time for 2 persons. On the same day I also made a quotation for a customer who wants to go to Gran Canaria with a friend of hers. Last Thursday, she came by and booked the holiday definitely. I also checked a lot of travel papers and send them by mail and then I called the customers. Last Wednesday I helped a customer who was looking for a cruise trip to the northern lights, but unfortunately she didn’t book anything because it was to expensive (+€4000 per person). Yesterday I helped a customer with filling in the TSA document for Cape Verde. Cape Verde has since the 1st of January this year no visa requirement anymore. Every European citizen has to fill in a Airport Security Tax (TSA) to enter the country. You can request it online or you can get it on the airport in Cape Verde. This was my 11th week at D-reizen.

I did 3 bookings this week all by myself! The first booking I did was on Monday. A couple were searching for plane tickets to Cusco in Peru. They are going to visit their son who lives in Cusco. The second booking I did was for a single mom with 4 children. I booked 4 days to Disneyland in Paris for them. And the third one was also to Disneyland in Paris. But now for a couple that will marry in October. They are going to Disney for their honeymoon. I also booked plane tickets to Aruba with a colleague. This woman is also going to visit her child. Today we had a other family who were also looking to go to Disneyland in Paris during new years eve, but the system was under maintenance. After that appointment I made an booking into an option, so that the customers can think about it. Maybe, they are going to Egypt with 6 persons. I ended this week with a very busy day. A lot of appointments and other customers who came by!

I started this week with a quotation for a city trip to Budapest for 2 persons. It is a big tricky now to go to Budapest because of the floods. I also do my internship at a other store in Meppel. There I made a trip to Iceland with loss plane tickets, rental car, stays and the best highlights in south Iceland. This week I also got 2 different customers who were looking for a trip to Disneyland Paris. Last Tuesday I booked my only booking this week to Portugal. They are going for 1 month. I booked loss plane tickets and a apartment. I also did a lot of aftersales and printed a lot of travel papers for the customers. My teacher from school came by to check how everything goes and having a little chat. A customer went by to ask some information about Australia. She wanted to know if she needed a VISA and she asked what she needed more for her trip to Australia.  This was a fun and nice week!

Blogpost 13-9 | Week 8 at D-reizen

I started this week with a plane ticket to Canada and he wanted to rent a car. I’ve also sent an email to a customer with different choices of Christmas cruises with concerts. There were a lot of customers who want to book a last minute vacation or during the fall holiday. The offer is very limited. It’s not the same as back in the days, where people booked their holiday with a lot of discount. Beside that I booked a vacation for 2 persons to Gran Canaria. Their were some customers who left this week on holiday so they needed their travel papers, so I printed them and called the customers so they could pick it up at our store or I could send the travel papers by email. Last Thursday I wrote my second reflection report. And I also made my promotion trailer of D-reizen complete. This was my week. On to the next week!

I helped mister Timmermans with his custom declaration, because he is also going to Bali he left last Wednesday. Last Wednesday I helped a client with plane tickets to Toronto in Canada via Charlottetown. On Thursday I helped guests with plane seats and gave them their travel papers. I also helped a woman with plane tickets to Faro in Portugal, insurances and plane seats. My colleagues from Steenwijk asked me to do a group request. So I said yes! It’s a big family of 14 persons. They want to go to Canarian Islands. Today, my colleague and I helped guests with booking their autumn holiday to Egypt. They choose a big Resort with a lot of slides. Blogpost 27-7 | Week 6 at D-reizen

My last week, before my holiday starts. I started this week with an appointment. We helped a woman for inspiration for next year. She wanted to go to a All-inclusive hotel with a lot of slides. We found some and gave the names of the hotels to her, because we couldn’t check the prices yet cause it’s to early for next year summer. I also printed a lot of travel papers for guests, because there were a lot of guests who went on holiday this week. We also tried to help guests who were looking for Last-minute vacations, but the offer was very limited. From 24th of July till 28th of July there was a Asian market called “Pasar Malam” in Steenwijk. It’s was really fun to visit this market and going back to my Indonesian roots. Ended this week with my own booking. I booked a holiday to Crete for 2 persons in a luxury resort. Now I’m going sit back and relax and enjoy my holiday to Bali!

Blogpost 19-7 | Week 5 at D-reizen

It was quite a short week. I worked 4 days this week, because I went to a concert from André Rieu. I started this week with writing a reflection about my last 4 weeks and I’ve helped customers who wanted to go on a Christmas cruise to Germany. Also helped a customer with flight tickets to Gambia. Last Wednesday I sat together with my internship supervisor. We checked my reflection report and made a conclusion together. A family of 10 persons called us for a quotation to Turkey. I helped them with calling the group department and give them all the information they needed to make a complete quotation for this big family. Last Thursday I searched for activities and travel cards for a customer who is going to Rome with his family. And I did some items on the agenda like: aftersales and mailing preferences to hotels. Today, we were hit by a global internet problem, which prevented us from doing much for customers. So we did other things like: keeping the mail updated and give travel papers to customers. One week left until my holiday starts!
